A Zebra Moment

It’s what you don’t see
that often matters most.

Today, a zebra slowly
crossed a zebra crossing,
becoming invisible
for just a split second
as the striped pavement
aligned with his stripes . . .

What a perfect moment
of stillness all over town,
candidly making you see
the unexpected right here!
The whole world did stop
on the spot for one zebra . . .

And suddenly all traffic is
racing around the sun again.
