Meara Oberdieck

Meara Oberdieck is going into her senior year at the University of Iowa. She was awarded a full scholarship to study under Dr. Ksenia Nosikova in 2006. In high school she won several first place trophies at the PMTA competition, including the Regional First Place Championship. In 2006 she was also the 2nd place winner in the Cedar Rapids Symphony Concerto Competition. She is a regular performer at the University of Iowa, including performances on the KSUI Classical Radio Station, several master classes and at the bi monthly event at the Old Capitol, Piano Sundays. In addition to her regular performances in Iowa City, she regularly performs in Fairfield as well, including performances for the Chamber Music Society, many benefits, and her own solo concerts at Stephen Sondheim Center for the Arts. Meara is an honors student in music at the U of I, and holds annual graded honor's recitals as well. She has plans to pursue performance as well as composition.
