Fairfield Chamber Music Series International presents the Northwind Quintet from Cedar Falls, IA on Sunday afternoon, April 20, 2008, 2 PM at The MainStay Inn, 300 North Main Street, Fairfield, IA. Admission is $15. There will be a reception afterwards.

More than just a woodwind quintet, the Northwind Quintet is a uniquely engaging ensemble whose performance never fails to delight its audience with an artistic, enthusiastic approach to chamber music. Established in 1967, the Northwind Quintet has built a solid reputation on variety in programming and fine musicianship. The quintet has made frequent appearances throughout the Midwest, performed on radio and television, and released a CD recording in 1992.

These five superb artists serve on the faculty of the University of Northern Iowa School of Music and Wartburg College in Waverly, Iowa.
