The Poetry of Light & Dark

The Poetry of Light and Dark, Saturday, December 6, 2008, 8:00 p.m., Revelations

Please note, this reading will start in the dark with Wendell Berry’s poem “To Know the Darkness” after which the candles will be lit and the lights turned on.  Please come on time and don't miss this!

In the darkest month of the year when we feel the need for warmth and shelter most, on Saturday, December 6, at 8:00 p.m., the Candlelight Reading Series presents a luminous poetry reading: The Poetry of Light and Dark at Revelations, upstairs.

Raven Garland, Patricia Wood, Michael Sternfeld and Freddy Niagara Fonseca have selected poetry from all over the world.  The juxtaposition of light and dark is well represented in many streams of poetry.

We hope the selections will make you feel the glow and unplift associated with the season.  See you a little before 8:00.
