A balmy summer night... Fairfield... the gazebo in Central Park on the square... a sense of mystery... candles... and “Night Poems Under the Stars” with the Candlelight Reading Series inside the gazebo on Saturday, August 25, 2007 at 8 PM.

That’s the scenario of this year’s outdoor summer reading, a yearly tradition presented by the Series in Central Park on the Fairfield square. Karen Carter and Freddy Niagara Fonseca, two experienced readers of poetry invite you all to come enjoy some exquisite poetry from all over the world.

Each poem on the program reflects some aspect of the night or other. There will also be some poems combined with eurythmy performed by Karen and recited by Freddy. Eurythmy is a movement art originated by Rudolf Steiner in 1912 that opens and enlivens the etheric space around us.

Duration of this free event is approximately one hour and fifteen minutes. Please come on time so you can experience every facet of this presentation. Refreshments after the show.
