Blake, Keats, Shelley and Byron
Romantic Poetry at Revelations
Four of the most famous poets of the romantic era in Great Britain: Blake, Keats, Shelley and Byron, are going to be on the program of the next Candlelight Reading Series event, Saturday, October 15, 2005, 8 PM at Revelations Bookstore, 112 North Main Street, Fairfield, Iowa.
Freddy Niagara Fonseca and story teller Tracy Chipman will be reciting some revelatory selections of these great poets. Some of the poems and odes will be presented in the form of duets.
“As much as their poetry offers rewarding reading in a book, the spiritual, and also worldly dimensions of their works really come to life surprisingly well when read out loud,” Freddy, the series’ founder says. "I've found so much unity in sharing the well-spoken word with Fairfield audiences." Admission is free.

The motto for this reading is the following excerpt from Byron's 'Don Juan':
But words are things, and a small drop of ink,
Falling like dew, upon a thought, produces
That which makes thousands, perhaps millions, think.
