Poetic Fund Drive & Auction

Accompanied by the Flapjaw Larry band, poets and writers Rae Bales, Tim Britton, Ken Chawkin, Caree Connet, Nynke Doetjes, Tony Ellis, Christian Farrier, Freddy Niagara Fonseca, Sharalyn Harris, Jeffrey Hedquist, Jannou Jaxtheimer, Rustin Larson, Tom Le May, Virginia McEvilley, Elizabeth McIsaac, Eli Place, Ingrid Saterstrom, Jacqueline Signori and Ila Zeeb will be reading one of their best poems each. They’ll auction off a copy of their poem as part of the fund drive. Lee Gobble will be present as guest of honor.

Poetic Fund Drive for the Restoration of the Courthouse, Friday, November 12th, 8 PM, 2004 at Revelations hosted by Freddy Niagara Fonseca.

The Courthouse suffered storm damage decades ago and afterwards the steeple was removed. Thanks to Lee Gobble's initiatives and donations from the Fairfield community over the years, the new 7.5 ton, 28 feet tall steeple is now in place.

However, more funds are needed for the overall restoration of the building. So far, 17 businesses have donated wonderful items to bid on and there will be a door prize.

Admission is $1. Donations (anywhere between one and $1,000) will go to the restoration of the Courthouse. All checks payable to Jefferson County Treasurer.
